Summer Camp
今日からAlexくんは英語の三泊四日のサマーキャンプへ
母は一抹の淋しさを感じつつも、集合場所の新宿へ送って行った。
Alexはワクワクドキドキの様子
バスに乗り込み、隣に座った初対面の子と仲良く話している様子が、外から見える
でもやっぱりこっちが気になるのか、チラチラ見ては手を振ってくれる。
あー、やっぱ淋ちー
そんな事を考えていたら、バスが出発してしまった
いってらっしゃ〜い
楽しい４日間をね〜。晴れるといいね〜
お友達たくさん作ってね〜
Alex has left for an English summer camp today.
He'll be away for 3 nights.
I was bit lonley as I was taking him to the meeting up place.
But he seemed very excited and got along with his new friend
who was sitting next to him on a bus.
Hope he'll have a wonderful time and make lots of friends.
And I hope that the weather will be fine.

おうちでプール
ずいぶん、ご無沙汰してしまった…
ほぼ２か月ぶりのブログ再開
いつも気にはなっていたけど、５月中旬に始めた派遣の仕事がチョー忙しくて、毎日疲れ果てて帰宅し、家ではPCを開ける元気もなかった。
でもそんなのも多少落ち着いてきたので、また再開しようと思う。
でもの〜んびりと
で、再開一発目はやはりAlex君の事
多分、以前も似たような記事を書いたような気がするけど、今日は暑かったので、「おうちでプール」
前にやった時は、身体は多少せまくても泳げてた気がするけど、今回はさすがに窮屈そう…楽しいとは言ってたけどね。
順調に成長しているAlex君。
小学生のうちに身長168cmの母を追い越してしまうのでは？とマジで心配しているマミーである
It's been a long time since I wrote an article last time.
I've been soooooooooo busy for this last two months thus didn't want to open my PC after I got home.
But things have slowed down and I want to continue writing this blog little by little.
Well, because today was pretty hot, I let Alex to play in a bathtub.
But he has grown so much and seemed quite tight in it.
I assume that he'll be as tall as me before he graduate from Elementary school.

ミツバチ？
朝、外でAlexが「マミー！ハチがいるー！！！来てーーー
」と叫んでいるので、行ってみると…。
あらまぁ、確かに…
ひるがおにとまるミツバチが…。
こんな風景しばらく見たことなかったので、何だか、朝からほのぼの〜
Alex was shouting outside this morning.
"Mommyyyyyyyyy! There's a beeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!"
I went out and see it. And there it was.
A bee was sucking honey/nector from a flower (one of the morning glory kinds).
I haven't seen a scene like this for quite a while and it was kind of nice and I felt relaxed.

マスク６０枚
先日、日中に電話が鳴ったので出てみると、無言…。
でも、電話はつながっているので、「もしもーし！」と数回言っても反応が無いので電話を切ろうとしたら、男性の声で…
「すみません。マスク６０枚入り一箱っておいくらですか？」
私「？？？」
私「…えーっと、番号を間違えていると思いますけど…」
男性「あ、す、すみません。間違えました…」
多分、豚インフルエンザの影響なんだろうけど、マスク６０枚が必要な人って、どんな仕事しているんだろう？とすんごい気になった…
日本人がついに感染してしまったと報道があったけど、世界中の感染した方々の回復とこのウィルスの終息が、一日でも早い事を祈るのみ…。
うちでは、手洗いとうがいを徹底するのみだ…
I got a wrong phone call the other day that was asking for a price of a pack of 60 masks.
When I said he'd had a wrong number, he said "sorry" and hang up.
I assume it's because of the swine flu, but I was a bit curious what kind of job this guy does who needs 60 masks...
Anyhow, I just pray for all the people around the world who were infected by this virus will fully recover and the swine flu will be terminated ASAP.
In the mean time, I just encourage Alex and other people (myself too!) to wash their hands and gargle.

子供の日だったので…
「はれときどきぶた」の１６ミリ映画上映会（2009/5/6記事参照）の後、Alexはお友達と一緒に「しゃぼん玉、ヨーヨーつり、おりがみ、わなげ、わたあめ」等々の各コーナーに行き、楽しんでいた。
（わたあめは、"元"子供の分はなかった…
）
午後３時から「荒馬座のショー」があるとの事で、全員ホールへ。
太鼓のショーが始まった。
(すごい迫力！)
このままずっと演奏が続くかと思いきや、荒馬座のお姉さん、「みんな立って〜！」と声かけ。
「みんなにも太鼓を叩いてもらいま〜す♪でもその前に『荒馬』をやりまーす！」と準備運動代わりの「荒馬踊り」開始！
（この「荒馬踊り」は、Alexの通っていた保育園の年長児が、毎年秋祭りと運動会で踊る事が伝統となっている。）
その後、子供たちを５−６のグループに分け、実際太鼓を叩き始めた。
（子供の日らしく、天井近くには「鯉のぼり」が…。）
かなりの時間をかけて、子供たちに太鼓を叩かせ、「えー、こんな難しいのできるの？」と思うような連弾も、みんな見事にやってのけた。子供たちの実力を疑って悪かった！ゴメン
最後には、荒馬座の方々の再度の演奏。
（迫力たっぷりでやはり素晴らしい）
ショーの冒頭に、「３時から４時までの１時間」と言われた時は「えー？そんなにかかるの？？？」とちょっと不安だったが、子供たちの参加型だったので、バカ親のマミーとしては大満足だった
やはり、日本の伝統芸能は素晴らしい。
At the community hall, there held a Taiko traditional Japanese drums show.
When I first heard that it'd last for about 1 hour, I wondered why it needed for that much time but actually there was a lot of kids' involvement.
There was a warm-up and then kids were divided into 5-6 groups and practiced how to play the drum.
Every kids took turns and played for many times and they all did great.
I was very impressed with the way it had been organized and carried out as it was kids-centered program.
And I was impressed with the performers' performance as well.
They made me appreciate Japanese culture.

子供の日だったので…
５日の朝、友人からメールで「児童館でお祭りがあるみたいだから、
暇なら行かない？」とのお誘いがあったので、曇り空の中、
雨を気にしつつも、Alexと二人、傘を持たず自転車でお出かけ
到着すると、「はれときどきぶた」の１６ミリ映画の上映会を早速、鑑賞。
これ、絵本の存在は知っていたけど、読んだ事はなかったので、興味津津
ちなみに英語版も中国語版もあるとの事
内容は、小学生の男の子の則安君が、書いた日記の内容が現実のものとなるというもの。思った以上に楽しいお話だった。
ちなみにこのお話、書かれたのは今から３０年ほど前との事で、上映会で使用されたフィルムもその頃作成されたのか、土曜日でも授業があったり、黒電話があったりと、時代背景のわかる映像のオンパレードだった。
って事は、主人公の則安君は、私と同年代
May 5th was a National holiday for "Children's Day" and we went to a nearby community hall for an event.
There was a cartoon movie titled "Fair, then Party Piggy" showing when we got there.
It was based on a well-known picture book and I have heard the title for many times before but have never actually read it yet.
So Alex and I got in the room and I was taken to the story quickly.
It was so funny and there were some parts which reminded me of my childhood such as having classes on Saturdays, and using a black dial phone.
I guess the boy in the story might be about same age as me...?

足ながおじさん
先日、買い物途中に近所の駅前で「あしなが募金」をやっている中高生を見かけ、ほんの気持ちだけ募金した。
それでAlexに「募金」とはどういうことかと説明した。
そのついでになぜ「あしなが募金」という名称なのか説明しているうちに「あ！『足ながおじさん』の本を図書館から借りて読んであげればいいんだ！」と気づき、買い物の帰りに図書館へ寄った。

夜、寝る前に数ページずつ読んであげているが、Alexは意外にくいついてきて、私が夕食準備している間とかも自分で読んでいる。
今日は、空手で疲れて眠いと言っていたが、「やっぱり読んで〜」と言ってきた。
あまり教育的結果を求めず、どんな本でも本人が何かを感じてくれればいいかな。
On our way to a supermarket, we Alex and I saw a several teenagers for fund-rasing campaign for children who lost their parent(s) to go to schools.
The group's name is "Ashi-naga kikin(Long-Leg Fund)".
The name is derived from Jean Webster's "Daddy-Long-Legs".
I tried to explain Alex what this group is about then I realized that I should just read a book to him.
So we went to a library and borrowed the book.
I read it before he goes to bed and he seems pretty into it.
I want him to learn something out of it but I guess I will just leave it to his own will.
